Money and the Bible – What Does it Really Say?
You may be surprised to find that the Bible has a lot to say about money and finances. Many people think that money and the Bible are two totally different topics, but you’ll quickly find that the Bible brings up many different aspects of money. As a Christian, it’s important that you know what the Bible says about your finances so you can make the right decisions. Here is a look at just a few of the things that the Bible talks about regarding finances.
Christian Financial Concepts – Remember the Basics
When it comes to Christian financial concepts, one of the basics is the idea that God wants us to live a life that is rewarding and full. While this doesn’t mean that God is going to make all Christians wealthy, it does mean that by following good ideas laid out in the Bible, we can have a life that is stable and secure financially.
Christian Finances – A Few Things to Remember
Are you constantly feeling like you are being pressured by your financial status? If so, maybe it’s time for you to consider some principles and ideas of Christian finances. Even if you are having a tough time financially, there are some important principles that are timeless that can turn around both your heart and your bank account.
Money Mindset- Understand Why It’s Important
What is your money mindset? Do you have beliefs when it comes to money? Having a certain mindset or set of beliefs surrounding money can either be extremely helpful or hurtful financially. It is important to figure out what your mindset is and where that mindset originates. In most cases, beliefs about money are not conscious, while they do have an impact on your life.
Biblical Finances – Important Biblical Principles to Help You Manage Your Money
Many people put their faith into practice in many ways, but people rarely think about Biblical finances today. Managing your money is important. Make the wrong mistakes and you’ll end up in serious financial trouble. The good news is that the Bible does provide some excellent money management advice that can help. Here is a look at just a couple Biblical principles that you can begin using in your financial life.
Keep Your Christmas in December!
Found this from Dave Ramsey article. This is great advice.
Consumer Reports just released a study that found 13.6 million Americans are still paying off credit card debt from the 2009 holidays. Remind yourself and your loved ones that little Johnny won’t become an axe murderer just because he didn’t get some plastic stuff for Christmas! Buy what you can afford based on your budget, then draw a line and stick to it!
Focus on People Instead of Gifts: It’s time to take the pressure off of yourself! Many of us assume that we have to do things so we don’t disappoint people because “So-and-so loves how I buy this or do that for them.” While they may appreciate those gestures, the truth is that people in your life love you for who you are, not what you do. Look back over your life and remember what has mattered most. Was it the fanciest events, or the simple moments centered on faith and family? This year, try giving people less stuff and more of yourself—more genuine care, time and attention.
Ideas for Couples and Money
How to Talk the Talk
Psychologists say that many people will talk about anything, even sex, before they’ll talk about their finances. Why is it so difficult for us to talk about money? Perhaps because money symbolizes different things to different people: power, control, security, or love, for instance.
It’s been estimated that money issues are the driving force in 90% of divorces, but you CAN live happily ever after, financially speaking, if you work at not letting financial issues come between you and your partner.
