EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as Tapping, is a powerful mind-body, self-help tool that helps release the negative emotions trapped in the body that affect our physical and mental well being. What I love about EFT is that it’s a technique that anyone can do on their own.

However, for bigger issues, it’s best to work with a practitioner who can help get at the blind-spots you just don't see, or issues that have overwhelming emotional charges to them.

I like the analogy of pumping your own gas for your car, and going to a mechanic for more serious work. When you work with me, you learn how to tap so you can work by yourself between sessions and on your own.  

What I love about EFT is that it's a great tool to have in your own self-care kit.  

You might have heard about EFT in the media - it’s truly an amazing technique that can be used in many areas of your life and is quickly gaining in popularity as a result.

Why? Because it is highly effective and pretty simple.

EFT helps reduce stress — it relieves what's bothering you both physically and mentally, and shifts those negative beliefs and stories you hear in your mind that are responsible for how you are running your life … in your subconscious. EFT works with emotions, the language of the subconscious. That is how we get such great results with it. Why? Because the subconscious runs 95-98% of our behavior, which is dictated by our beliefs.  

This is huge!

The beliefs I’m talking about that hold you back, look like these and more:

"I'm not good enough"

"I'm too old"

"I'll never find my soulmate"

"I'll never be rich"

"I'll never find a job that makes me happy"

“I’m awful at public speaking”

"Who am I to make it big?"

"I have to work very hard to make money"

How does EFT work?


EFT is a combination of acupressure and talking about the issue that is bothering you. As we tap on specific areas of our face and upper body we release the negative emotions trapped in our bodies that are related to what is upsetting us.  

 At first it can look a little strange, tapping on these points, but people quickly forget that, when they see how effective it can be. 

When you tap on these energy points, called meridians, you send calming signals to the amygdala, the part of the brain that controls the fight, flight or freeze response. Once you’ve released the energetic charge, it brings you back to your natural state of well being.

If you were to look at us under a very strong microscope, you’d see that we’re made of energy.  

When everything is going well in our lives, our energy flows through our body like a river. When an unpleasant event happens in our life, it affects us emotionally and this negative energy gets stored in the body like a rock or log in the river. When too many rocks and logs collect, it starts to clog up the flow of the river, the energy. This negative clog shows up with physical and mental issues.

When we tap, we get rid of the blocks, the issues that are bothering us and our energy starts to flow freely again.

Hands down, EFT is my go-to tool, when working with clients in my coaching practice.

Why? Because it works.
